The Centre Hargeisa

We envisaged it as a place where youth could express themselves through art and sports and could learn soft and hard skills that would be useful throughout their lives, to find jobs in line with their aspirations and to develop their full potential.

The cafeteria role at the heart of the Centre is manyfold as different groups of people will be involved in its activities and be positively impacted by them.

For the youth, the Centre will provide healthy food and beverages to athletes, musicians and other young people attending courses at the Center; it will be a training facility where youth can gain valuable skills and practical experience in hospitality and food service, which can open up interesting job opportunities.

Icon

For the women of the community: it can provide a flexible job opportunity, that can improve economic conditions and allow for a good balance between different working and family commitments; it will also provide a safe space to socialize and meet.

For the Centre itself, the cafeteria will be an income generating activity whose proceeds can effectively contribute to sustaining running costs.
